Well, I think Autumn is finally here and perhaps not as spectacular as previous years. A few places I have visited to photograph recently have been OK but not great and is, in some instances, downright disappointing. Not the fault of the owners and gardeners I might add..
In trying to finish my autumn projects I managed to get to Wisley last week and was blessed with the best weather of the month, I think. Wisley was looking pretty awesome for colour, especially as it seems so bland elsewhere. Although this image of the berries of Cornus sericea 'Cardinal' is a very small part of the garden it gives you an idea of that great autumn glow, especially nice at about 2.30 pm just as the light is staring to drop. I did more work in that last hour or so than all day and I am very pleased to say I managed to finish everything I needed to do.
