Blossom on the trees by the roadside is probably the most convincing sign for me that spring is here. Sure, Snowdrops and Narcissi are spring flowers also but their appearance in late winter can certainly provide a hint of spring but our weather can still surely turn it backwards.
Most of the images in this feature in the April edition of The English Garden were taken in April 2010 which, after a cold, quite raw start, really turned out to be a bumper year for Blossom. The creative potential for photographing them is huge and the sight of me constantly circling around the same tree for hours was possibly quite puzzling for some to observe. Little did they know what I was seeing through my lens… until now.
