Following my recent success in the monochrome category of International Garden Photographer of the Year competition and a recent commision that required some mono images, I found myself 'revisiting' Black and White photography. It is where I started. My first serious images over 10 years ago were black and white and with developing and printing from film. This involved alot of getting messy with some quite toxic chemicals and the digital way is so much cleaner and so much easier to get the desired effect. It has also made me think also how I might apply this to garden photography. I think this works.
